John Griffin, MD, is an ABIM board-certified Internal Medicine physician at Genesis Orthopaedic and Spine in Westfield, New Jersey. Dr. Griffin sees patients for sports medicine, internal medicine, and optimal preventative health.
Dr. Griffin treats a broad range of conditions, including arthritis, injuries, sprains, joint disorders, coughs, infection, hypertension, and other chronic disease states. He also provides nutritional assistance and sports performance enhancement to his patients utilizing paleo or keto diets for patients in need of help with weight management, diabetes, blood pressure, and other chronic disease reduction or management.
Dr. Griffin earned his medical degree at St. Christopher Iba Mar Diop School of Medicine in Luton, England. He completed his Internal Medicine residency training at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri.
When he’s not caring for patients at Genesis Orthopaedic and Spine, Dr. Griffin is a life-long runner and has completed multiple marathon distance races, and enjoys an active lifestyle that otherwise includes yoga, travel, and hiking. His intellectual interests beyond medicine are broad, and he is curious by nature. He is always in the middle of learning something, such as mindfulness practice or Big History.
