Kevin Dunn, MD, is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and fellowship trained in Sports Medicine and Spine. Dr. Dunn specializes in non-surgical and minimally invasive interventional treatment for orthopedic, sports, and spine injuries. He treats a range of conditions including sprains/strains, osteoarthritis, tendon tears, meniscus tears, and disorders of the spine including arthritis, disc herniations and sciatica.
Dr. Dunn has expertise in performing diagnostic and ultrasound guided injections, regenerative medicine procedures including PRP, Lipogems, and bone marrow aspirate injections, and other minimally invasive procedures for tendon and ligament issues using Tenex and Tenjet. In addition, Dr. Dunn is experienced in electrodiagnostic testing (EMG/NCS), as well as interventional spine procedures such as epidural injections, facet injections, and SI joint injections.
Dr. Dunn earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Vermont. Then, while earning his Master’s Degree in Sports Medicine from the University of Miami, FL, Dr. Dunn worked as a Student Athletic Trainer with the Men’s Football and Women’s Soccer teams. He then completed his medical school at St. George’s University, and residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at North Shore – LIJ in NY. Ultimately this path led to a Fellowship through Atlantic Health System in Sports and Spine with Dr. Gerard Malanga.
Dr. Dunn brings over 12 years of clinical outpatient experience to Genesis Orthopaedic and Spine as an interventional physiatrist. He has authored several journal articles, book chapters and presented at national conferences. Dr. Dunn has served as team physician for local high school teams. He was also certified by the Titleist Performance Institute. He takes pride in treating patients of all ages and abilities. He is now accepting new and established patient appointments.
