About Dr. Griffin

Matthew Griffin, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician at Genesis Regenerative Sports and Aesthetic Medicine in Westfield, New Jersey. Dr. Griffin sees patients for sports medicine, non-surgical orthopedic injuries, and regenerative treatments and injections, such as PRP (platelet-rich plasma) and stem cells (Lipogems®). 

Dr. Griffin treats a range of conditions, including sprains, fractures, arthritis, joint disorders, and sports injuries. He also provides nutritional assistance and sports performance enhancement to his patients utilizing paleo or keto diets for patients in need of help with weight management, diabetes, and chronic disease reduction or management. 

He also specializes in concussion management and protocols and has obtained his ImPACT® certification (neuropsychological testing for concussion management), and is formally trained in advanced aesthetic medicine by the American Board of Aesthetic Medicine in procedures such as Botox®, Juvederm®, microneedling PRP (Vampire Facial), chemical peels, dermaplaning, and microdermabrasion. 

Dr. Griffin earned his bachelor’s degree from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri, before completing his medical degree at St. Christopher Iba Mar Diop School of Medicine in Luton, England. He completed an internal medicine residency at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.

When he’s not caring for patients at Genesis Regenerative Sports and Aesthetic Medicine, Dr. Griffin enjoys an active lifestyle that includes participating in pickup games of basketball and softball and keyboard composition.
